Privacy Policy

The short version

Creative Careers Forum exists to prove what you can do. That means sharing evidence of your skills — never more of your identity than the situation needs. Employers choose candidates blind. Your university sees your name only if you say so. You can withdraw that choice at any time.

What we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and password (stored encrypted).
• Study details (students) — course, graduation year, chosen track, and university.
• Company details (employers) — company name, size, and sector.
• Skills evidence — your test answers and scores, task applications, submitted work, feedback received, and badges earned.

Who sees what

• Your university sees your course, year, track, scores, and badges. It sees your name only if you opt in — via the checkbox at registration or the toggle on your profile. Opt out at any time; you then appear as an anonymous code. Your email address is never shared.
• Employers you apply to see your course, university, year, track, skill scores, badges, and your performance on previous Creative Careers Forum tasks (employer scores and wins) — but not your name. Selection is blind, on capability alone. This sharing is a condition of using Creative Careers Forum as a student — it is how matching works — and you agree to it at registration. If an employer selects you for a task, your name is then shared with them, because working together and paying you requires it. This is stated on every apply screen.
• The public sees nothing — unless you share a badge URL, which shows your name, the badge, and the task it was earned on. Sharing that link is entirely your choice.

Why we're allowed to (lawful bases)

• Contract — running your account, matching you to tasks (including showing employers your study details and task history when you apply), processing payments, and sharing your name with an employer once selected.
• Consent — showing your name to your university. Withdrawable any time from your profile.
• Legitimate interests — aggregated, non-identifying analytics (e.g. average scores per skill) that power university curriculum intelligence.

Where your data lives

Data is stored with Supabase (database, hosted in the EU) and the site is served by Vercel. Payments, when enabled, will be processed by Stripe; Creative Careers Forum never stores card numbers.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, and complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk). Email us and we'll act on it — deleting your account removes your profile, scores, applications, and submissions. Badges you've publicly shared are removed with them.
